Introduction to Cyberpunk : the information is power ! free the information ..
The cyber world was created by human kind, it was known also as virtual reality which brings us to the new age " the cyber age" . Nowadays,communities rise from the data world. The cyberpunks-offspring of the cyber age become the culture of the new world. The cyberpunks are free thinkers who began to attract more people to the cyberspace which is their new virtual society, where they share new and free information without laws or rules.
Bruce Bethke published in a science fiction magasin in november 1983 a short story where "cyberpunk" appeared for the first time as a title for it. But his reason for publishing this story was selfishness ans market-driven. So William Gibson invented the cyberspace and the cyberpunk science fiction. Neuromancer, was the first novel about cyberpunk written by Gibson (1984) . The novel tells us about a washed up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to work on the ultimate hack.
Originally the term 'cyberpunk' was meant to be a only character type name, meaning "a young, technologically facile, ethically vacuous, computer-assisted vandal or criminal". Nowadays the term means much more, it's the name for whole subculture and movement.
words 'cyber' and 'punk' emphasize the two basic aspects of cyberpunk: technology and individualism. Meaning of the word 'cyberpunk' could be something like 'anarchy via machines' or 'machine/computer rebel movement'.
